Error codes
Error messages
Error and warning conditions are displayed on the main screen in the Channels area and/or the status bar at the bottom left of the main dialog. Channel errors may have an addition two character descriptor under the Elapsed heading.
Channel errors
- Check EC - an error has been detected by the EC management system. The following supplementary codes indicate the nature of the error.
- DE – dose calculation error.
- Lo – the rate of change after a dose is too low
- Hi – the rate of change after a dose is too high
- OD – the dose exceeds the allowable ml/liter for the nutrients
- Check Float - the channel level float did not signal a wet condition at the end of a fill cycle. This condition could be raised by: a defective or stuck float, an electrical issue or insufficient fill quantity. This condition can be reset after the problem is resolved in the Tools->Calibrate dialog.
- Check NPC - when using solenoids for the nutrient and pH dosing, the peristaltic pump capacity was found to be zero. This has to be set in the Tools->Calibrate dialog. Once set, the condition will be reset.
- Check Nutrients - one or more nutrient component tanks has less than the amount required to make up the requested refill solution. Once refilled, the condition will be reset.
- Check pH - an error has been detected by the pH management system. The following supplementary codes indicate the nature of the error.
- MD – maximum daily doses has been reached
- DE – dose calculation error
- Lo – the rate of change after a dose is less than 0.01 pH units
- Hi – the rate of change after a dose is greater than the allowed pH units
- OD – the calculated dose is too large
- RG – the pH is outside the range of 3 to 9. This is a possible electrode error.
- MC – the allowable maximum change has been exceeded. This could be a problem with the reagent being too strong.
- PC – the pH pump capacity has not been specified.
- RL – the pH reagent tank is low.
