Nutrient
On this tab, the Nutrient brand is first selected. HHS supports a number of nutrient products. Custom nutrients can be created in the Nutrient->Constituents dialogue.
Entering values for Reservoir pH and Reservoir conductivity will provide more accurate EC/TDS estimates. However, these items are not mandatory.
Nutrients can consist of one, two and three part formulations. The reservoir is filled with pure pH adjusted water. All nutrients are mixed by HHS as required for refills. The nutrient dosing system can be comprised of peristaltic pumps or one peristaltic pump, solenoids for each nutrient component and a flush solenoid and water tank. If pumps are to be used, check the Use pumps check box.
Tank capacities are required to keep track of nutrient availability. After specifying capacities, editing of nutrient tank refill amounts is performed on each refill request.
