Overrides
Overrides is a powerful dialog and, as such, should be used carefully. It is only enabled when the system is running because it is used to modify live system parameters. To become familiar with the capabilities, it can be experimented with before a live system is completed. All that is needed is to have the Phidgets attached. In all cases, a checked state for a box indicates it is triggered.
The Channel floats section is used to simulate float state dry or wet. The float dry state is registered when the Dry box is checked. Checking this box will immediately start/stop a refill cycle for the selected channel. A cycle should not be interrupted unless it is an emergency because a mix of unknown composition may be left in the mixing tank. The area below the channel selection list is used to clear channel pH and EC error conditions. Errors are displayed as a button. Clicking on the button will clear the error condition. These error conditions are also displayed in the status bar of the main screen.
The Nutrient states section has checkboxes with the following functions:
- Mixing tank float - signals a full state for the mixing tank
- Mixing tank error - sets/resets an error state for the mixing tank
- Mixing tank busy - sets/resets the busy state for the mixing tank
- Hold refill queue - enables/disables refill cycles
- Reservoir float - sets/resets reservoir empty state
The Channel solenoids section is used to temporarily open/close the solenoid for a channel. Clicking on Open will open the selected solenoid for two minutes. Clicking on Close will close the solenoid immediately.
The Tank pumps/solenoids section is used to temporarily turn the selected nutrient pump on/off. Clicking ON will turn the selected pump on for 30 seconds. Clicking OFF will turn the selected pump off immediately.
Clicking on Refresh will set all the checkboxes to their current system state.
