The functions of the ”Miscellaneous” tab are as follows:
”Sensors” can be used to change the polarity of all sensor signals by checking the “Invert signal” box. To prevent false signals from momentary state changes, the time required for a new state change to be acknowledged can be set in the ”Hysteresis” box.
RHS can be run in simulation mode without Phidgets. The source of weather data has to be Weather Watcher Live. To do this, check the "Irrigation simulation mode" box. When changing modes, RHS has to be restarted.
RHS maintains the current state of all sensors, activities and environmental parameters on the checkpoint file. This allow for a more graceful recovery in case of power outages or deliberate shutdowns. If it is not desirable to restore the previous state, the ”Reset checkpoint” button can be clicked to reinitialize the checkpoint file.
