Outside
Options->Outside
If sensors have been installed outside, it is necessary to enable them in the ”Outside” tab.
“Temperature” is checked if a temperature sensor is installed. “Temp sensor is precision” is checked if it is a precision Phidget temperature sensor.
“Humidity” is checked if a humidity sensor is installed.
“Rain sensor” is checked if a rain sensor is installed. Rain events can occur in a series of showers over a short period of time. To help the system aggregate the rainfall from these events, a “Rain sensor wait” time in hours can be provided. The period of time the sensor has to be in a new state before it is acknowledged by RHS as changed is the “Rain sensor hysteresis”.
A “Rain gauge” can considerably improve the efficiency of the irrigation calculations. If attached, check the box and provide the calibration coefficient supplied by the manufacturer in e calibration”
One other item is on this tab. ”GDD base temp” is the reference temperature to e used for calculating ”Growing Degree Days”
