Overrides
The”Overrides” dialog provides direct control over the value of some key variables. Zones can also be turned on and off for brief periods to verify their operation. It should be used only when circumstances make it necessary. This could include, for example, a failure of a rain gauge to record a significant rain event or a need arises to force irrigation regardless of the schedule situation. When the Overrides dialog is opened, a check is made to determine if there are any active zones. If there are, a confirmation is required in order to proceed. If the confirmation is positive, all zones are placed in a Suspended state. After accepting or canceling any changes, the zones are restored to their previous state. Changes will be applied immediately upon closing the dialog. The items that can be affected are as follows:
- Test can be used to turn a zone On or Off for the time set in Interval(min).
- Sync date if checked, will resynchronize the zone date to today.
- Set last event to now if checked, will set the checkpoint date for the zone to today.
- Reset low/high flow can be used to re-establish a flow rate for a zone when changes are made or equipment failures occur. This will help prevent warnings from being generated. Enter the new flow rate first and then check the box.
- Rain can be used to change the precipitation minus runoff for the selected date.
- Des can be used to change the starting evaporative depletion for the selected date
- NIN can be used to change the net irrigation needed for the selected date
- Dec can be used to change the ending soil water depletion for the selected date
