  • Time-of-use billing for power will be implemented in Ontario, Canada over the next 18 months. In anticipation of this, a new function has been added to calculate costs during peak, medium and low demand periods. This function is only available to longitudes and latitudes in Ontario. If not in this range, the function will not be visible. To access a table, go to Reports->Power, select a range and right click on a date. If data is available for this date, a context menu containing a new entry, Time of use, will be visible and not greyed. Click on it to see the calculations for all available dates. "Available" dates are ones since downloading of version 2.2.0.88. In addition, three new lines appear in the Power tab for cost today, per kw today, and year to date. These are updated each second. The Current rate in effect is also displayed below Peak kwh. We are going to be lucky enough to have adjusted rates every six months. Either a version with the new rates or a mechanism to update them will be provided. The rates in RHS do not include HST, GST or any other tax grab.

    This version implements a number of special requests from RHS user’s as well as adding a few new bells and whistles. A summary of changes follows:

  • HVAC real time graph of cycles displays stages as different colored bands: Dark sea green for Stage 1, sea green for Stage 2 and light sea green for Stage 3. These colors are used in the background of the YTD times and for the background of an active stage in the Today column.
  • HVAC real time graphs are updated each second and the time scale reflects the current time.
  • HVAC real time graphs are wider due to a re-arrangement of the information on the HVAC tab.
  • Duty cycle replaces Cycle time on the HVAC tab.
  • Estimated COP displays the current COP during an active cycle and retains the COP for the last cycle when no HVAC stages are active.
  • Reports->HVAC displays DD (Degree Days) for heating and [DD] for cooling. The last column displays the average COP for the day.
  • All graphs in Reports->Graphs display the coordinate value pairs when clicked on.
  • Options->Email has a new checkbox that can be used to add a set of three summary graphs to the daily email: Total kWh, voltage and HVAC cycles.
  • Removed special fields for Phidget SBC serverid and password. Just use the serial number, IP address (wired or wireless), and the port

      • Removed restrictions on WWL conversions for future files. Log file specification was changed. Historical data are processed using the currently active WWL conversions. If changes are made to the WWL conversions after some records have been stored prior to this release, this will be problematic. The WWL log file is in the RHS data file directory as WWLRawData.irr. Full independence can only be achieved by deleting this file and starting it over. Old log records did not have the unit attached to the values.
