RuralHomeSoft™ (RHS) was created to help control some of the systems required to manage a home in a rural setting. The major focus is on efficient use of water from a drilled well. For an avid gardener, having an efficient and effective irrigation system is essential. RHS embodies a highly structured irrigation control methodology based on extensive work by the American Society of Civil Engineers .

Irrigation schemes can be established for up to eight different garden zones with different soils, lighting, canopy conditions, and plant material. Irrigation can be fully automated with input from a personal weather station, online weather reports or timer control. Depending on location, weather data may be obtained in real time.

In addition to irrigation, RHS can control external lighting, a summertime basement dehumidifier and a wintertime cold room heater. It can measure well water consumption for both domestic and irrigation usage.
